Leeds Blogs web ring

I've taken my new site design over to the Leeds Blogs web ring, a web ring I created in 2003 for bloggers local to me in Leeds. Pleasingly, and despite a rather unfriendly previous site design, the ring is now twenty-five members strong. There are some really interesting blogs amongst the membership, and it's great to see new blogs join the ranks. As I'd like to attract more sites to the ring and get more out of the community it creates, it seemed like a good idea to get the design up to scratch.

The newest addition to the ring is A-sexy and the Suburbs, added today. From the information the writer has revealed so far, she has an almost unconceivable amount in common with me (same age to the month, same passions, attitude, and potentially the same birthplace) that'll make reading her blog all the more interesting.

The decorators have been

You'll not fail to notice that the website has received a new colour scheme and a modified design. I've gone for a green scheme, perhaps inspired by my recent bout of the 'flu. Although the new layout bears some resemblence to the previous version, it is based on a completely different design called 'IcyBlue' by Bradford-based blogger Neil Turner. Neil's original design was chosen for its simplicity and its clarity of presentation, although casual visitors would do well to figure out that the end product was derived from the original.

I'm hoping to make further improvements in the coming months. Moving to the latest version of Moveable Type will allow me to turn commenting back on, and a better-looking and more user-friendly version of pics.paulholloway.com is under development as I write. I might even get around to properly sorting out the search facility one day.

When I'm not writing here, I'm reading. Here's my list of feeds I read, courtesy of Bloglines.
